Skagit River salmon intent on spawning got some significant human visitors on Monday. U.S. Rep. Rick Larsen, County Commissioner Sharon Dillon, scientists and conservationists converged on Illabot Creek to tour what they hope will become a wild and scenic river, with all the benefits that designation would bestow on the fish. The tour group came across a pool that was teeming with pink salmon.
